The present book has been written to meet the specific needs of students appearing for the competitive examinations, like CSIR-NET, GATE, TIFR, SLETs, NCCS, IITs, IISc., ICMR, Union and State Civil Services, common entrance test for M.Sc./Ph.D. in Botany/Biotechnology and other entrance tests like, Pre Medical Tests conducted by various organizations/universities in the field of Plant Biology (Botany). The book is intended to provide wide knowledge on the subject since the field has grown enormously. It is expected that the book would also be a useful guide for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Botany.
