Summary: Globalization is widely seen as the most important factor influencing national economies of nations in the new millennium. The rapid advancement in information technology and communications has made it not just possible but absolutely essential for industries the world over to adapt or fall by the wayside. The most important aspects of economic globalization are the breaking down of national barriers the international spread of trade, financial, and production activities and the growing power of transnational corporations and international financial institutions in these processes.
