Alzheimer is a neurodegenerative disease that worsens over time. It is a form of dementia that starts slowly but ultimately leads to behavioral issues, disorientation, mood swings, problems with language and loss of motivation. Old age, genetic problems, inadequate synthesis of neurotransmitter acetylcholine, extracellular amyloid beta deposits are considered as common causes of this disease.
