The book provides an overview of the basic concepts of informatics. Dealing with the concerns and issues of digital technology, the text has been written with the objective of introducing students with the tools and applications of information technology, highlighting its use by the digital society. It creates awareness on the nature of emerging digital knowledge society and social issues.<br/><br/>Organized into six chapters, the book explains the fundamentals of informatics, besides sharing and analyzing the consequences of rapid computerization.
