Mechanics of Materials is a course taught at the undergraduate level and at the postgraduate level to students to prepare them for design assignments in the case of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering disciplines. There are several books available to learn the basic course of the students in hard copy and soft copy format of various levels. There are very few complete books on advanced topics of the subject. Also, these books are lagging in fundamentals and clarity of advanced topics. The author is involved in teaching the subject for the last 35 years. It is found that no book provides full coverage of the subject to students. Some books provide preliminary knowledge only, some provide advanced knowledge without much explanation of concepts and many provide only theoretical or numerical concepts. It has been conceptualized to deal the course with complete details of concepts which include basics, explanations of complex terms, development of equations, and use of equations with numerical problems of all levels aiming to use in design problems.
